Home Inventions (the “Company”) considers “personal information” to be information about an identifiable individual. We do not consider public information found in directories and listings, or company names, addresses and/or contact numbers, to be personal information.
We have adopted, as Company policy, the 10 information privacy principles for the Protection of Personal Information. Home Inventions also complies with the Home Inventions Global Customer Personal Information Privacy Policy. The 10 principles are as follows:
Accountability.
We identify individuals within our Company who must be specifically accountable for our compliance with the Code. Their responsibilities include ensuring that the Company, our employees and third parties who process personal information on our behalf comply with the Code.
Reason for Collection.
We collect and use our customers’ personal information to identify them, to communicate with them, to protect the Company and its customers against errors and fraud, to understand what products and services our customers want, to provide them with information about our products and services, and as required or permitted by law.
Consent. Before collecting, using or disclosing any personal information, we ensure that we have the individual’s consent in an appropriate form, except where required or permitted by law.
Collection Limitation.
We collect personal information for the purposes stated above, unless we receive the individual’s consent to collect it for another purpose or unless required or permitted by law.
Limitation on Use, Disclosure and Retention.
We use and disclose an individual’s personal information for the purposes stated above, unless we have the individual’s consent to use or disclose it for another purpose or unless required or permitted by law, which may include lawful access by courts or governmental authorities. We may transfer (or make available) personal information to our affiliates and other third parties who provide services on our behalf. Personal information may be stored and processed in Mexico by us or by our third-party service providers. Our service providers are not authorized to use or disclose personal information for any purpose other than to provide services on our behalf or as required by applicable law. We do not disclose personal information about our customers to anyone else and we do not permit anyone else to use personal information about our customers for any purpose without the customer’s consent, except as outlined in this Privacy Statement or our Global Customer Personal Information Privacy Policy. We retain personal information about individuals for as long as we need it to fulfill our stated purposes or as required by law.
Cookies are pieces of information that are transferred from websites to your computer’s hard drive and can serve a variety of purposes (web beacons, Flash cookies and other similar technologies may also be used for these purposes). For example, cookies “remember” you when you visit the Company’s websites and make your experience more user-friendly. Cookies help us identify which Company web pages are visited and how often, and to evaluate how our websites are used so that we can improve these services. Cookies also enable the Company and third parties to provide you with targeted advertising. The Company adheres to the Mexico Digital Advertising Alliance’s Principles for Self-Regulation of Online Behavioral Advertising. Safeguards. We have implemented measures designed to protect all personal information in our possession from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration or inadvertent destruction. We maintain technical, physical and administrative security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.
Openness.
We make this Corporate Privacy Statement available in our stores, in our catalogs and on our websites. Individuals may inquire about our personal information practices and those of our service providers by contacting our privacy officer at info@xxxx.xxx.
Individual Access.
We provide individuals with access to personal information about him or her in our possession, subject to certain exceptions prescribed by law. Do Not Track
Some browsers have a “Do Not Track” feature that allows you to tell certain websites that you do not want your online activities tracked. Our websites, like many other retailers, do not have this functionality.

Customer-Specific Disclosures
Contract Customers
If you are a contract customer and wish to opt out of receiving promotional and/or electronic mail from us, please notify your Account Manager. You may continue to receive email or postal mail from other affiliated companies and third parties if they have received your email or postal address from other sources or as a result of their own transactions or experiences with you. You will also continue to receive e-mail or postal mail if you request to hear from us again at a later date.
European Union (EU) Residents
Home Inventions and its affiliated companies are based in Mexico and the information Home Inventions and its service providers collect is governed by Mexican law. If you access the Services from outside of Mexico, please note that information collected through the Services may be transferred to, processed, stored and used in Mexico. The data protection laws of Mexico may differ from those of your country of residence. Therefore, your use of the Services or provision of any information constitutes your consent to the transfer to and from, processing, use, sharing and storage of your information, including personal information, in Mexico. as outlined in this Privacy Statement.
